After ten years of successful management roles within the property sector, a business opportunity led to a change in industry for Dan, as he entered the world of fire and security.
More than a decade later, a series of fated events led to Dan co-founding ECS Systems Ltd with Matt Evans back in 2015 – and the rest, as they say, is history.
Back in the early days, Dan’s life at ECS consisted of working from the garage at Matt Evan’s house in Sidcup, Kent – where all great businesses start! We achieved our accreditations at the highest achievable level, then began to grow the business by driving quality and service. The plan was to throw away the standard industry template of lacklustre service and unreliable engineering quality, and create something new, something embracing the latest technology, where we could merge good old fashioned quality engineering with a level of customer service never seen before.
Throughout Dan’s working career, he has been surrounded by colleagues and clients within the sales and service industry. The time spent working alongside and managing some of the most talented individuals within this sector has provided invaluable experience. It is from this level of experience that the impeccable standards of customer service within ECS have been set.
Dan’s role within ECS is ever evolving around the needs of the company as it grows. His skillset is primarily suited to ensuring clients receive the service they desire, whilst ensuring the talented team of surveyors and consultants representing ECS have the tools and support needed to deliver a fantastic service. Much of Dan’s time is spent nurturing excellent relationships with the most well-respected companies within our sector. Through these relationships, ECS collaborates with other contractors to deliver a superb overall client experience on some of the most complex and exciting projects in the country.
Outside of work, Dan loves spending time with his family, especially his partner and young daughter. He has played football from the moment he could stand on two feet, and despite watching more than he plays now, he loves keeping fit whilst embarking on new physical challenges, such as climbing Mount Snowden and competing in Spartan races.
